Velvet spray for velvet coating or velvet design (by stencil) on:
"Spraying velvet" with the "Sepehr velvet sprayer" is very simple. This device does not require air pressure or the like. It only creates static electricity in the velvet powder fibers, causing the powders to repel each other and be thrown out of the powder container. These powders are thrown towards the work and are attracted by it, so all you have to do is apply glue to the work and then sprinkle the velvet powder on it with the device. The base of the powder fibers sinks into the glue, and these fibers, due to their static electricity, stand upright in the glue. Therefore, a uniform and prominent layer is created in the glue, which is completely similar to velvet fabric. If you don't want a full velvet coating and you want to make part of the work velvet, you can apply the glue with a stencil or use any other method to create a design with glue - because velvet powder only sticks to the glued parts and the rest is easily removed - you can have a velvet design like what you see on clothes, curtains, or upholstery.
The method is as follows: velvet powder is poured into the container of the velvet sprayer - which is located in front of the spray handle - and the lid of the container is closed. The mesh on the lid prevents the powder from spilling. When the device is turned on, the powder is thrown through the mesh towards the work and sits on the glued part. After the glue dries, you will have a clean and uniform velvet layer.
The cleanliness and durability of the final product depend on the type of glue and its application. The meaning of the type of glue is that the appropriate glue must be chosen. For example, wood glue can be used for wood, but for plastic, a glue that sticks to that type of plastic must be used. The application of the glue is also important. The glue should be applied in such a way that a part of the velvet powder fibers sink into it and the glue completely covers it to create a durable and strong work. Theoretically, it is said that the thickness of the glue should be about 0.1 mm so that the powder base sinks into the glue by the same amount and creates sufficient strength. Also, immediately after gluing, the velvet should be sprayed so that the powder fiber base is inside it while the glue is still wet.
The training menu page explains the working method in detail, and in addition, face-to-face training is provided at the company. For more information, an educational DVD has also been prepared that is provided free of charge on the device and can also be purchased by mail.
